Hi Bonnie! I just discovered your blog via Etsy (congrats on being the featured seller!!). In your interview with Etsy you mentioned that you make candles? I was wondering if you plan to discuss this on your blog, maybe a quick tutorial or just a look into your process? I have a new baby on the way and have been trying to eliminate artificial scents from our home, but with a toddler, dog and a husband (haha) sometimes I need a little “scent pick me up”. Thanks so much!
PS: The apple jam recipe looks delish, its become my new craving!

Hi Bonnie! As a new etsy seller I found your featured seller article very inspiring. Also, I love the photographs of your gandmothers garden, it stirred memories of my own grandparents gardens, Thank-you!

Bonnie,

Sick blog, I love it! I’m a fellow North Carolinian, lived in Raleigh my whole life. Thanks for posting who designed your blog, I might use her as well! I went ECU and got a BFA in Art Education with a concentration in textile design. It’s so wonderful to see someone who loves fabric and fiber art as much as I do. Keep up the good work, your art is gorgeous.

Hi Bonnie! I found your blog after looking online for your aprons. I heard about them when I was visiting your mom’s store. I look forward to reading your blog everyday when I get home from work. Keep up the awesome work!

Hi Bonnie,

I love reading your blog. I found out about it when you were the featured seller on etsy! I recently started making totes/purses out of recycled coffee bags, lined with vintage fabric so your eco friendly tips on here are right up my alley!
Wanted to ask you a question..
The pictures you take yourself have a very unique look as far as looking… vintage and the coloring is different than normal photos… is this a certain camera you use or a certain film? I have seen these types of photos before and were curious how they were taken. Any help would be great! Thanks for your blog! I love it!

Love your blog Bonnie!
I especially like the pricing your handmade goods article today. How about a tax guide in pricing as well , or as far as taxing goes :O) Would love an article on this to help me in my online shop as well.

hi jaime! thank you! well, many of the photos i use come from other sources, but the ones i do take myself i edit either using photoshop or picnic.com. i use a nikon d40 (no special lense)- but i’m a big believer in that you don’t have to have a nice camera to take great pics. a lot of it has to do with the lighting, and the editing thereafter- and if you don’t have photoshop, picnic.com is free and is a GREAT resource! :)

Bonnie,
Love your blog, its a daily read for me. Just wanted to pass on who I use for sewing labels. Jennifers Jewels on Etsy (jennifersjewels.etsy.com) The price is really reasonable (90 for $25). The labels are awesome, they don’t fray and they hold up wash after wash and she can do different designs.
Thanks for blogging!!
