hi jodi! great! as far as the prices go… i agree that it’s incredibly hard to change all the prices. i usually refund promptly via paypal but also give them the opportunity to ask for a custom listing with the sale price. one thing to consider is that if you don’t change your prices- you get that sale fee charged from etsy and paypal for the higher price. double whammy- ouch. if you go ahead and change all of your prices- your fee will be less. does that make sense?

i would love to hear from others if you have a great system!

Great points! Thanks! I’ll be giving 15% off all items in my etsy shop from NOW through Cyber Monday. Hand Dyed spinning fiber, hand dyed sock yarn and handspun yarn. :) I didn’t want to wait for black Friday, so I’m doing YAY YARN WEDNESDAY!

Great article–I’ve done a lot of these things other than get my shop items fixed in pricing-I’m on the fence as to whether I want to refund via paypal or change all my prices. I still have a few hours to think it through :) I am going to run 20% off throughout my store with a few SPECIAL deeper discounts on select items from Friday thru Monday. I hope to advertise this through my email newsletter as well.
