hello dear ones- happy new year!  10 days is the longest stint i’ve taken from blogging- and i must say, i missed you!  i just didn’t know what to do with myself.  we did however, have a wonderful christmas and had lots of love time with our friends and family.

we were able to catch up with old friends at our holiday party and spent time with some extended family during the time off too.  jan 2nd we hosted our annual frosty foot fest- a trail run held at tsali.  though it was successful (over 150 runners!) it was blustery and so cold.  we were out in 22 degree weather from 6:30am to 5:30pm- but had fun serving all of the runners hot cocoa and homemade chili.  i think that i’ve finally de-thawed- just in time for my fingers to get back to typing!

i’ve been working on a little surprise- and i was hoping to be able to share it with you today, but of course, there is never enough time!  i plan to be announcing a new little venture by the end of the week though- so stay tuned!

i’ve had a bit of time to think about some new goals for 2010 for going home to roost, and i’ll share a few with you.  i’m always inspired by everyone’s home and how they make their nest.  so, soon i’ll be posting the before and after pics of our little homestead and plan to open a new section for diy projects and before and after pics of both personal projects as well as yours!  i hope you will find just as much inspiration in this as i do- what do you think?

how was your holiday season? what 2010 resolutions have you made?

love, bonnie

i forgot!  i meant to include my personal goal for 2010.  i believe in the power of ‘putting things out there’ so i just had to write some more!  my personal goal this year is to be more generous.  we don’t have much- and we still struggle to pay our bills every month- but we have barns full compared to the majority of the rest of the world.  it’s easy for me to get caught up in the mindset of ‘mine, mine, mine’ but my major goal for this year is think ‘give, give, give’.  i want to be more generous with my time, my love, my money and my possessions.  did you know almost half the world — over 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day? that helps remind me that no matter how much we struggle- we are really and truly blessed.
