    Bonnie,

I just wanted to let you know that I saw your kitchen makeover on YHL, and I thought it was absolutely stunning. I came here and checked out your entire house tour, and your home is just lovely.

I also just wanted to say that not only is your home beautiful.. your BLOG is gorgeous! I’d say the prettiest blog design I have ever seen! Honestly. I am in the midst of designing my own blog, and I look at yours and it’s everything I wish mine could be haha… mine is still in shambles because I keep chaning stuff around and trying new backgrounds and headers. Any tips? :)

  • hi emily! aw, thank you so much! that means more than you know. :) how fun it is to get a blog started, congratulations! honestly, the design part depends on your budget. i used jo of the darling tree and she was absolutely fabulous! getting a designer to make a theme from start to finish can be somewhat pricey, but you can find other great venues as well. doing a search on etsy for blog designer will give you tons of results for designers that may just be able to make the header for you, for example. there’s also a new-to-me website called 99designs where you post a project and designers make mock ups for you as they ‘bid’ to win. it’s 100% money back guarenteed, so what can you loose? i’ve got a good friend who had great success with a logo from them. i’ve never used them, but think it’s intriguing!

i hope that helps? feel free to e-mail me if you would like more specifics!

    Hi Bonnie,

It was great seeing a “reader redesign” from western NC on YHL! I really love what you’ve done with the entire house. Every room looks fresh and breezy. I noticed that you are a yoga instructor. Do you give classes in Franklin? Again, it was wonderful to discover your beautiful home, blog & Etsy shops via YHL.

  • hi denise! thank you so much! i’m not currently teaching anywhere, but may have plans to get that going soon! i’ll let you know if/when i do. :) xoxo!

Just hopped over from YHL, must say you’ve done a wonderful job.

I purchase the Ikea Numerar (sp???) butcherblock and have question. It looks like your sink wall may have been longer than the available counter lengths, did you have to piece it, if so how did you do it?

I have two pieces I’ll have to put together and I’ve been putting it off since I’m not sure how to proceed.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to share.

  • your kitchen is so lovely & amazing! it’s so fresh! =) Where did you get your peguins on the shelf? I love those! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • gorgeous … now if you wanna come do my house for me please!

ps. where is your couch from? I love the colour … i need to make a throw for mine in that shade!
