repurposing my favorite sweater

so, sigh… my sweet innocent toaster got a little bored the other day, and i came home to one of my favorite sweaters looking like this. how lovely! after a little pouting, i decided to at least put it to good use.
so, i made a pillow cover. i chopped off the bottom half (it was one of those really long, pretty sweaters), turned it inside out and stitched across the bottom with my sewing machine.
then, i turned it right side out, stuffed my pillow in it, and grabbed some left over alpaca wool yarn. i threaded up an extra large needle and haphazardly whipped up the top to give it a little character. now, it’s just perfect for my couch, and though i’ll never be able to wear it again, maybe i can at least sleep on it! (unless, i could wear the remains and start a new fashion trend?)

hey sara! haha, i know! he does this thing and wraps his whole arm around his snout all the time. i think it’s the cutest thing i’ve ever seen!
oo, those are great ideas! i mean, at least a few coffee sleeves, right? but a shrug would be super cute. i’ll work on it, because i love the neck line!
Love the sweater pillow! So thrifty, and so so cozy. I want to snuggle up with it now along with my glass of wine at hand. It’s suppose to snow here in Mississippi tomorrow, and this sweater makes me love snow…even though I don’t really love snow that much.

hi kim! oo, i’m actually snuggled up with it right now- how funny! snow is nice though, as long as you have a scarf and warm soup! and, well, maybe a sweater pillow!
I adore it! Toaster is naughty but the outcome has been a very cosy welcoming looking cushion. I am doing the same with one of my old cardigans, hard to part with some items of clothing isn’t it?
