happy monday dear ones!  how was your weekend?  ours was a bit rainy but still great fun.  i spent all day saturday curled up reading the backyard homestead, and it was wonderful, i highly recommend it!  then yesterday i went for a long run w/ my mom-in-law (can’t hardly move today!) and watched the time traveler’s wife last night.  have you seen it?  yes, i cried.

blue owl to do list

i wanted to thank everyone so much for taking the time to take my survey!  i’ve gone through and read every entry and have some wonderful new ideas.  each of your opinions really do matter to me, and i so enjoyed reading everything each of you had to say.  do you want to know some facts about yourself?

*59% of you are between the ages of 25 and 34

*97% of you are female

*about 90% of you live in the u.s. but collectively, you represent countries all around the world including mexico, canada, ireland, france, sweden, germany, thailand, austrailia, and the netherlands! (did i miss anyone?)

some of you will be happy to know that by an overwhelming response, i’ll be keeping the full name, going home to roost.  and after reading all that you had to say, i agree, the full name has a lot of meaning to it, so it sticks!

also, i will share that i’m working on a bit of redesign (yay!)- but i know some of you are a bit averse to change so i want you to know that i completely understand!  i have felt pretty funny before when i opened a daily read to all of the sudden find nothing familiar there.  but, i’m going to ask you to join me  during the process and hopefully it will be a change that’s exciting and comfortable for all of us.  most importantly, we’re only talking design here! just remember, it will always be the same ‘ol me sitting here with you, and so the look may change, but i never will!

ok, you all have had many many great points of advice and i’ll be working to implement as many of them as i can (please be patient with me, as these things can take a good long while!).

some things that just made me laugh:

-”include more porn for traffic. JUST KIDDING! ;)”

-”More Toaster!! :D” (i agree!)

-”i like to be able to see the person in their blog. this catches my attention and makes me read their story. i am not actually talking about a pic but being able to “see” the person by their story.” (ok, this didn’t make me laugh but it DID make me feel like i was an avatar! my favorite movie of ALL TIME!)

oh and by the way, the winner is…..

the winner is...

congratulations julie!  i’ll be emailing you shortly. :)

xoxo! bonnie

  • happy Monday!

Time Traveler’s Wife – read the book, was not certain the movie would work…but, sounds like you liked it? I should see it??

Isn’t it amazing you can connect with people from all over the WORLD – fun to see those stats!

    have a lovely day!

  • thanks for adding me to your love list! I look forward to the design upgrade, i’m sure it will be swell

  • TTW – liked the book, didn’t like the movie. But that’s almost always the case for me, lol! I think my imagination is just way better than movies =)

also – thanks for sharing some of your survey results! So many bloggers don’t do that and are left hanging. =)

  • oh drat, I started the survey, got distracted, and never finished it! I was one of many votes as well to keep the whole name! :)

I cried too..and now I’m reading the “Time Traveler’s Wife”! It’s been making it difficult to get any work done- such a great book- and way better than the movie, as books & movies usually go!

  • I am Julie #52! Thank you!!!
So glad you emailed, or I would have just thought it was another Julie :)
I loved reading the stats you put up, thanks for sharing. The internet sure does make the world a smaller, comfy place. (Especially when you are all the way down under) lol
