yellena

bold and beautiful, yellena’s work has accurately been described as “colorful arrangements of organic shapes and tangled lines (which) are at once floral and alien, organic and sci-fi, crafty and fantastic.” i love the intricate detail, whimsy nature and satisfying colors that all of yellena’s art exemplifies. some (especially the last one) remind me of a map, one that i would follow anywhere it led it me. how would you describe her work?

I have the 4th print shown in my workspace (along with two others). I love that her work is feminine without being overly girly — and that each piece is really left to the interpretation of the person viewing it.
Intricate, detailed, and gorgeous immediately come to mind! Love her work!
It’s beautiful! Her work reminds me of sea life . . . algae, those beautiful plants at the bottom of the sea, etc…
Wow, so inspiring! I would like to use one of this to inspire me for a card or layout. Palletes are just awesome!
How apropos, I just stumbled upon Yelenna’s work Friday on http://www.getuncommon.com where you can choose from many generous artists’ work to customize as an iPhone case cover. I’m will proudly be toting the first print around on the back of my new phone! art + technology, love it!
Wow, these are absolutely gorgeous. I love the colors and the linework details. I would probably notice something new every time I looked. Thanks for sharing!
