Fennel is also a fun one to grow in the garden! I grew enough last year to have a constant supply. Try sauteing with onions, garlic, and cabbage (chinese or head) in olive oil with a sprinkling of oregano, thyme, and lemon juice. It makes a delicious slaw to pair with fish!!

YUM! I love bringing home fresh veggies from the store. I like your idea of trying out something new when you go to the market. Gets away from the same old thing!

This looks delicious. I use fennel a lot but never tried roasting it. Thanks for the idea! A fennel/orange salad is also very good — refreshing and healthy.
