sometimes, i girl just needs some solitude.
don’t get me wrong, i love company, enjoy being around friends and family, and thrive on having time with husband- but at the same time, i love being alone. in the quiet. at home, in nature or sometimes just going to the farmers market can give me some much needed clarity and time to reflect. i often get most inspired when i’m alone and constantly have to jot down ideas, thoughts and motivations.
do you crave solitude?
psst. #9 is me! :) follow my solitude board here.
wrap up: {alone} {girl} {inspiration} {quiet} {solitude}

I adore solitude & having quiet around me enough to think and let the voice of God in. I work best when I’m alone & am so grateful & thankful that I’m able to make a living from home. I love when my husband comes home from work & immensely enjoy my time with him (he IS my best friend after all), but I need the quiet time as well. Sometimes it feels like such a luxury, but I’m happy to bask in it :)
Hello Bonnie! I recognized you in N#9! he he. I love being alone sometimes, and I manage to do it very often, even every day. After work I do pilates and then I go running. Sometimes I go with a friend and sometimes alone. I also go rollerblading to the park all by myself at night and it’s great.
During the weekends my husband has to work (3 out of 4) so those days I take advantage of being alone and I go to the farmers market, do some gardening, read or even organize the house. I love it! I’ll go over to facebook now and post a solitude pic of myself! :) Have a nice day!
beautiful photos! I need some of that right now…
So beautiful! It makes me yearn for mountains though! Oh to be in the middle of nowhere.
I originally read the title of this post as ALTITUDE, which also makes sense with the majority of the images! It seems that you – like me – prefer solitude at a higher altitude. I adore all of these pics (especially your #9) and this post has just taken me to that happy place.
kayla- you’re so right! i should have named it ‘solitude at altitude’. haha!
What a beautiful post! I love the outdoors, quiet, simple times & my yearly trips to NC where I can appreciate the beauty of the mountains (one bummer about living in FL). Especially when you run your own business, as I know Bonnie can attest, finding any alone, down time is so difficult but so needed! Just looking at the lovely pics above brought me to a different, quieter place this morning, so nice. Thank you!
So dreamy… I want to live in these images. Especially the one where she’s napping in a canoe.
The last one reminds me of myself- at the beach! I live in Florida so that’s my favorite place to seek solitude. Especially in Winter on a cloudy day when it’s cold and windy and you’re completely alone with the waves and the seagulls… oh I can’t wait for that!
