i’m so in love with the color palette that comes from this gorgeous photo of violet tulips from the talented ez pudewa over at creature comforts.  it’s been so cold this week that i really needed this dose of spring color. i hope the inspiration will carry you through the weekend! xo, bonnie

adobe illustrator keyboard shortcuts

i use shortcuts while working in adobe illustrator constantly, and find that it’s an incredible time saver! it makes things easier, quicker and more streamlined. however, it can be really hard to learn shortcuts for any new program (just put me working in photoshop and i’m lost!). that’s why i really like these keyboard shortcut guides. you can use them to refer to, or set them as your desktop background to keep them handy at all times.

i have a thing for honeycomb, and when combined with vibrant colors and pretty designs i fall in love. this packaging design by arhoj for helt honey is eye catching, fun and different. it makes me just want to pick it up and put it in my basket (marketing goal accomplished, helt)! with pretty typography, unpredictable stickers that seal and a beautiful website to boot, this company knows what they’re doing. i hope you can gather a little inspiration from it as i did!

i’m pretty sure the makers over at urban + forest designed everything in their shop with me in mind. i’ve always loved the use of birch in home decor- it can give any space a very clean, modern and rustic look all at the same time. i’m really fond of the irregular shapes in the woodcuts and soft shades of white and grey they have. head on over to urban + forest to see more.
