• 13. i love my job, i love to read and i love Jesus.
• 14. i always notice how beautiful the trees are, and i love them.
• 15. the only food i cannot eat is cilantro.  is that even a food?
• 16. sometimes i make jewelry on long car rides.
• 17. i do an outstanding number of handstands throughout the day.
• 18. i gave up on pc’s a long time ago.
• 19. i love my pillow. it goes everywhere with me.
• 20. i have dreams.  big ones.
• 21. my best kept secret is… lunges.
• 22. my favorite morning shows are bonnie hunt and regis and kelly.
• 23. i have a secret. two actually.

memories

hi lovelies. :)  my plans for ghtr have flown the coop this morning, as i’m not feeling very well.  i was down most all of yesterday with what seems to have been my first ever migraine (oh boy!).  as i’m sure some of you know, it was excruciating- and i’m still not feeling up to par.   i’m going to take the day to rest and recover, but will be back tomorrow with some great stuff for you- so make sure to check back in! i hope you have a beautiful day and i will talk to you soon!

today i have my first book signing!  i designed a new reversible half apron, especially for joyce drexler’s latest book, sew, craft, quilt and embroider confidently (in stores soon).  i’m so excited!

with nationally recognized artists such as sue hausman, you’ll find step by step instructions to projects that will keep you inspired (and busy) for months to come.

we’ll be meetin’ and greetin’ at a stitch in time today from noon to 2:00, if you’re local make sure to come out and see us! i’m off now to go practice my ‘signature’…ha!

happy monday!  we spent all weekend in asheville so that the hub could race in the french broad classic.  the sky showered us with rain, thunder and lightening at least once a day, but on our way home yesterday it stopped long enough for this rainbow to shine through.  isn’t it beautiful?  what a sweet reminder that there’s always beauty after the storm.

hi lovelies! just wanted to pop in to say hello!  did you have a happy 4th of july?  we had a picnic up on the roof and watched the fireworks from there.  the weather was perfect, the food was wonderful and our tiny town even had a pretty impressive fireworks show!  i always give my girls our leftover watermelon rind (it’s their most favorite treat).  this is odessa, caught in the act (below).

hi love birds!  i’ve been doing a little house cleaning, and thought i would share the news!  i’ve moved some things around as well as added tons of new things to my etsy shops, so here’s a recap!

first off, aprons and tea towels have made the big move! you can now find all kitchen related goodies in the kitchen roost etsy shop.  here you’ll find aprons, tea towels, and organic shopping bags.

i’ve done quite a lot of work to my long neglected vintage shop, old renewed! here you’ll find vintage goodies to spruce up your your home decor, organization style and retro kitchen.

lastly, you’ll now find only eco-friendly wool felt pillows in the home to roost etsy shop! i’ve added lots of new designs and have a few more in the design stage, so stay tuned!
