gloaming design

i have to say, i am simply smitten with this shop! gloaming design is a treasure trove of handcrafted and vintage pieces collected from all over the world. as she spends her time between the u.s. and paris, france, her treasures come from near and far- some even from belgium! oh, what i would do to rummage through thrift shops and flea markets in france! i guess for now, i’ll have to live vicariously through her and her beautiful shop and blog.

jean jean vintage

emily duffelmeyer- better well known as duff, owns one of my favorite vintage shops, jean jean vintage. she collects and thrifts, then meticulously studies and cleans each of these found pieces, all of which make me nostalgic to a time in which i never lived. with a mission of helping find these past loved pieces a new home, i bet we could all find something that makes us feel pretty in her shop.

every eskimo

every eskimo

i liken looking around every eskimo to stumbling across the most unique and perfect little antique shop, in some quaint little town right beside a river.  as i browse,  there’s one of just about everything that i’ve been on the scout out for, a typewriter, dress from and a pair of antlers to hang on the wall.  with a beautiful setup and a surprise around ever corner, the shop inspires me to give my home that rich-story-telling depth.

SeeSaw Seventies Style

September 29, 2010

Hello gorgeous Roosters! It’s Nancy here from Wolf and Willow, stopping by with a little vintage goodness whilst Bonnie is moving house. Apart from the endless enjoyment I get from browsing through Etsy’s handmade goods, I just love that you can shop for craft supplies and vintage too. It’s heaven for lovers of all three, like me! Here’s a little collection of seventies-style homewares from one of my favourite vintage sellers, SeeSaw Vintage. I love the geometric patterns and the cute retro color schemes, like tangerine, olive and goldenrod, which are so quintessential of that era. It reminds me of laminex table tops, wood grain wallpaper, and summer parties with those brightly-colored cocktail onions and cheese squares. Pretty groovy, don’t you think?

dulcet : paper, art, & design

“Imagine an attic filled with books, birdcages, costume jewelry and old linens. Antique trunks overflowing with dresses, photos, maps, advertisements. The delightful decadence of clawfoot bathtubs and love letters. The simple pleasures of dusty libraries and thrift stores.”

a quote from poet and shop owner, kristy bowen of dulcet, a vintage-inspired studio offering beautiful paper goods, accessories, and vintage finds.  with nearly 20 pages full of old world nostalgia, you’ll be indulging your vintage-chicness and taking a trip down memory lane!

old crow farm

let’s just call it what it is: junk. and i’m addicted to it! what do they say, one man’s junk is another man’s gold? everytime i pass by a junky old shop or yardsale i get all excited inside, and it looks like i share that passion with old crow farm. all their ‘junk’ would give a home a story to tell, and i love all the ways these pieces can spruce up your decor! they have lots of old things to help organize your spaces (another addiction of mine), i see so much potential!
