how does selling the handmade way e-course work?
selling the handmade way will be held on a private (password protected) blog with a forum open only to registered students. lessons will be posted monday, wednesday and friday along with some occasional fun podcasts and posts from expert guests! forums will be a supportive place for you to interact with me, your classmates, post homework assignments and ask questions. you will be able to login in to the e-course any time on any day to access the material, comment and participate in group discussions.
how much time should i expect to dedicate to the e-course?
even though this is a no-pressure, self paced course; you should expect to dedicate 3-4 hours each week to it. having ample time to read through the material, participate in group discussion and work on assignments will allow you to get the most out of the material and improve your online business.
will taking this class increase my sales or success as a indie biz owner?
not necessarily. what this class will do is give you the foundation work to help jump start your business and the tools to make your business a success. the extent to which you use the material will directly relate to it’s effect on your business.
now what’s this thing about homework?
don’t worry- these are low pressure assignments meant to improve your online business. even though they will be assigned weekly and have a due date, they will not be graded. if you miss an assignment, you’ll be missing out on a growth opportunity and chance to improve your business- but it’s only your business that you’ll have to answer to!

this class is specifically designed for small businesses owned by creatives who have a passion for selling their handmade goods. whether it’s an etsy shop or personal selling website, indie businesses of all kinds will benefit from the lessons provided.
what level of seller will benefit most from this class?
this class is geared towards beginner and intermediate sellers. if you’re one step away from being the next jonathan adler you may want to reconsider registering. however if you’ve still got questions about selling in the online world, how you fit in and what the best ways are to make a name for yourself- this is the class for you!
what are the requirements?
- a shop or venue where you are currently selling online (or plan to sell from)
- basic knowledge of computers and the platform you are using (etsy, artfire, personal website, etc).
- a camera
how much individual attention will my shop get?
one of my most favorite things is getting to know people! what i’m most excited about with this class is the opportunity to connect with you and get to know you. you’ll be getting personal feedback on your shop and progress from me as well as access to asking me specific questions in the forums. you’ll also be able to hear from other selling experts, and get specific help and feedback from other classmates.
what if i’m going on vacation or miss a lesson?
don’t worry! all of the material will be available for you to access, 24/7. with lessons only 3 times a week, you’ll have plenty of ’days off’ to catch up on missed material.
