paperless postyup, it’s that time of the year again- time to send out invitations, christmas cards and thank you’s! you might remember how much i love this company, as paperless post makes sending cards easier, cheaper and greener. whether you’re hosting a traditional dinner with family or a friendsgiving get-together, their custom, personalized invitations and announcements have the same thought and care as previous generations. best of all, you can start the holidays being environmentally-conscious!

diy scratch off cards

diy scratch off cards

{scratch off save the date cards by martha stewart via how about orange?}

this diy project instantly took me back to my childhood. i used to love (ok, still do) scratch off cards. there’s just something about the unknown, and the excitement of scratching off that silver paint to see what’s revealed underneath.

“DAD! do you have a quarter?”

now thanks to martha stewart, we can make our own diy scratch off cards- right at home! how fun would this be for save the dates, baby announcements and all sorts of surprises? with simple steps and common materials i can’t wait to use this for my next big announcement.

click here for the full how to. do you have any ideas on how to use this technique?

p&c paper goods

i’ve always loved pretty paper goods. we used to cut out paper snowflakes as a kid and draw our own cards for special occasions. i think having art supplies and paper on hand growing up really instilled in me a love for cards, stickers and stamps. present and correct brings out the kid in me and gets me all giddy-for-paper-goodies, from their wood grains to graphing lines! i think you’ll especially like these rubber stamps and this paper weaving card.

stamp it yourself

stamps

i used this same technique before to make diy business cards, but thought this idea for save the date cards from ruffled was just fabulous. you can find these stamp kits at most any office supply store and they are great for so many uses, and i think they add a really lovely vintage feel. wouldn’t they be cute to use as return address stamps? what ideas can you come up with?
