Mary Kay West
happy friday, friends! i am so excited to share with you the most beautiful yoga clothing today! i am so honored to have recently teamed up with one of my favorite yoga instructors, mary kay west, to help get her amazing yoga clothes on etsy. aren’t they beautiful? i have several pieces myself and can personally vouch for their comfort, ease of wearing and incredible tailoring.

as a long time yogi herself, mary kay west has made each of her clothing pieces to not only stay in place during your practice, but make you look great at the same time (who wouldn’t want that?). she also specializes in pieces that can take you right from the yoga studio to the market and out to dinner with ease. with simple additions like long cardigans and versatile pieces, you won’t be stuck running errands looking like you just got off your mat. tailored to fit just about any body, she has longer tunic tanks, flattering yoga pants and summer blouses that are to die for. click on over to her shop and let us know what you think!

pssst… not a yogi? don’t worry, she also make stunning blouses and dresses!

ok, not only do i love just about every piece that we are handsome makes, but oh how i love the intensity of these photos. they make me feel like a big ol’ beautiful summer day is just wrapping it’s arms around me. what a fun way to wear art on your body, and who wouldn’t love to sport that that wolf?

madewell

living in the valley just seems to promote an easier way of life. i find that i’m most often in no hurry at all. i’ll walk to the mailbox rather than check it on my way in and somehow easily find time to catch up with friends and neighbors. when the electricity went out for some 4 hours yesterday, it didn’t seem to disrupt my life in the way it usually would have. i like that. an easier way of living calls for an easier way of dressing, and i think madewell screams long walks to the farmers market and strolls along the beach. what do you think? they are my latest favorite shop to browse through.

arrowhead fringe scarf; 59.50. summer sun hat; 38. whisper rainbow dress; 330. sunday stroll shirtdress; 168. market tote; 58. checked paperboy shirts; 59.50. getaway tank; 23. elastic sneakers; 55. ancient river necklace; 45.

toast catalog

can you smell it?  this magazine is just as delicious as a perfectly golden piece of toast.  or maybe my love for it has something to do with our beloved toaster? regardless, toast the catalog has me daydreaming of roadtrips and yearning for more.  from home goods to swimsuits, their luscious style reminds me of summer breezes and relaxing mornings.  flip through their catalogs or browse their summer collection, i can assure you you’ll leave inspired! needless to say, they’ve got me melting like warm butter over toast.

i came across monique’s shop ouma last week, and have had an open tab floating around my browser ever since!  i didn’t want to lose this one in my style files (or should is say piles?) so before she got lost in the abyss, i’m sharing her to you!

striped retro playsuit

striped french pierrot

clouds of cotton candy

blushing in pink

striped carnival party dress

hand dyed tea length tulle skirt

now, don’ you feel better?  wouldn’t you love to know what city this is?  it looks like the most lovely old carnival town, and i love how these photographs share so much of the city’s character. i would love to walk these streets, camera in hand.

monique also has a wonderful blog, the dress girl. i especially love her lost city post, and it seems so fitting for this post!

spool no

wow.  i got the most delightful email this week from heather paul introducing me to spool no. 72- and i am so excited that she did!  i’ve completely fallen in love with everything from spool no. 72- and have been swooning over it ever since.  my christmas list has grown quite a bit since i saw these lovelies.  i’m especially dying over the cream sweaters on row 2 & 3- and the roost necklace on the bottom row (i mean… hello!).  anyways, enough about how much i’ve been dreaming about all this and trying to rearrange my bank account to afford it all…. here’s a little more about them:

spool no. 72 was founded on the simple idea that style and design can and should easily co-exist.  their unfussy approach to style is completely reflected in their easy to wear and *gorgeous apparel.  this style says ‘me’ all over it- i love timeless pieces that can be effortlessly ‘thrown’ on and make you feel pretty and sophisticated all day!

make sure to check out their loverly blog too!
