hello, friends! my wonderful mother and i have been working on a special little pattern to share with you. we call it the perfect ‘whatever’ bag, because it’s perfect for.. well.. whatever! it’s easy to make and super comfortable to wear. i also love that it features several rows of pretty ribbons, which are always fun to pick out for a project. we used 3 pieces from my reminisce fabric line (sweet nostalgia antique, wonderment teaberry & freshly picked sherbert) which you can find for purchase here and here.

hello, lovelies! the time has finally come to launch my latest fabric collection with art gallery fabrics, reminisce. i’m so happy to announce, that it’s shipping now! you can find it now at either your favorite online retailer, or look for it at your local quilt store. yeah!
reminisce is a nostalgic collection of bold & sugar-colored hues, inspired by hazy summer days filled with simple, yet memorable moments of picking flowers and enjoying their beauty.
click on the image above to watch the reminisce video, by art gallery fabrics featuring laura grosso. they’ve done such a beautiful job capturing the inspiration behind my collection (i cried when i watched it the first time!). it’s sophisticated, vintage, modern and sweet!
inspired by sunshiny days and simpler ways, reminisce is all about the handmade way of life. my hope is that it will inspire you to slow down and soak in the beauty of everyday life!

today, my mom and i are traveling back from spring quilt market, and it was AHmazing! i wanted to pop in with a few pictures from our trip, my booth for reminisce and the process of setting up and breaking down for the booth. i hope you enjoy this quick recap!
my finished booth!
setting up (what a mess!).
my mom is such a sweetie. she stenciled the entire back wall of my booth with my new falling daisies stencil. it was hard work but it turned out so pretty!
after only 3 short days, it was time to break down!
my first experience having a booth at quilt market was so fun and incredibly inspiring. i’m not sure that i know what to do with myself now that’s it’s over! i was able to meet so many lovely people and experience the joy of quilt market from a whole new perspective.
next week i’ll already be putting the finishing touches on my next collection for art gallery fabrics which will debut this fall. i’m so excited about it, i can’t wait to let you start seeing little tidbits of it!
thanks so much for your support and general all around sweetness. you guys are the best. xox, bonnie

hey friends! today i get to FINALLY share my BIG news with you, something i’ve been wanting to do since november (and teasing you along the way)! i am so (so so so so) excited to announce that i am art gallery fabrics newest designer! eeeee!
many of you know, being a fabric designer has been a dream of mine for many years, and i couldn’t be more excited that it’s finally coming true! most importantly, it’s with my most favorite company. art gallery fabrics is modern, fresh and fun. their cotton has a superior thread count and fine weave, which gives the fabric a super soft and luscious feel.
my first collection with art gallery is called reminisce. it was inspired by sunshiny days and simpler ways. it’s full of sweet summery hues and has a very vintage feel to it, and it will be coming to stores in june!
in celebration, we’ll be chatting about all things fabric, designing and blogging today on two different talkin’ tuesday twitter chat sessions! follow hashtag #talknt2 for our first chat from 1-3pm EST and #talknt for our second chat from 9-11pm EST tonight. you can come join in the conversation and ask us anything! for more info on talkin’ tuesdays, check out this post.

these pure and earthy, vibrant fibers have been colored with natures own botanical dye- pomegranates. the recipe comes from folk fibers, where maura grace ambrose dyes all of her own fabrics and uses only natural materials in her beautiful quilts. she lives in austin, texas where she organically grows, harvests and forages for natural dyes around the area. you can also grab the recipes for using osage oranges, onions (yellow & red) and wild mushrooms as natural dyes, each with breathtakingly beautiful results!
