i love the organic feel to lumafina’s beautiful jewelry. with hand cut pieces of metal, patina colors and the use of naturally shed deer antlers i think her pieces look feminine, natural and easy to wear. i especially love these dotted hoops and sweet chevron necklace.

as i scrolled through cynthia vardhan ceramics, i couldn’t help but be amazed that i had never run across it before. an absolute delight for the eyes, cynthia starts at the beginning with each of her pieces. after making them by hand on her potter’s wheel, she mixes her own translucent glaze and signature custom colors. she then painstakingly hand decorates each of them with pigmented clay- all of which helps give the pieces their distinctive raised patterns and visual depth.  inspired by patterns from bali to west africa, each have a story to tell of their own. i love the beautiful vibrancy of the colors, the unique shape of the vases, and the feminine daintiness of them all!

the art of papercutting is one that has always given me that ‘awe’ factor. the intricate details and obvious hours of labor and patience make each piece all the more wonderful. when i stumbled upon elsita’s blog and found that it was entirely dedicated to the art of papercutting, i think my heart did a little leap for joy. with page after page of amazing art, i got drawn in to browsing through them. a papercutting artist herself, elsita’s pieces are stunningly creative and beautiful. you can see her work for sale either in her shop or on three graces gallery, and as you browse you will no doubt be amazed!

charmaine olivia is a self-taught san franciscan artist, and the way she perfectly portrays these painted ladies speaks to me deeply.  showing emotions that can’t be put into words, i love the face she gives to each of them.

in addition to her more colorful work, she draws the most beautiful and feminine silhouettes, and you can buy the originals right in her shop. with obvious nautical, woodland and native themes, i can’t even begin to pick my favorite!
