handmade porcelain by samantha robinson

working

this handmade porcelain by samantha robinson is bold, yet delicate and feminine all at the same time.  i love the the bright colors and floral, girly patterns.  her website alone is piece of art, and each vase, kettle and tea cup i see there gets me finding the perfect place for them around my home!

isn’t this set up a vision?  she also sells fresh flowers and if you happen to be in australia, you can find her at the paddington markets.

i hope you have a sunshine-y weekend, and hope to meet you back here on monday!

suspicious easter bird

i found paper michelle this morning and haven’t stopped laughing since!  i even called the mister in to see these, so she won two laughs here. clever handmade cards are so much better than the big box store ones!

clockwise :: takin’ the plunge, i like you in that way, have a smashing birthday, fun with the easter bunny, the very best thing

hand printed and cut without the use of computers or die cuts, these cards are truly handmade in old school style.  i think we could all use a little more humor in our lives, and these cards are an easy (and affordable!) way to get it.

flores del sol

arent’t these arrangements beautiful? christina moreno is a professional floral designer and stay-at-home mom.  by combining her love for flowers, vintage pieces and photography, flores del sol is a vision to browse through.  i love all the pops of colors, nature and different textures, and can’t stop looking at those moss clusters!

a line of her own

Posted by bonnie on Mar 2, 2010 in etsy, handmade

a line of her own

cheetah swirl :: jackrabbit swirl :: bird swirl :: mouse swirl

with all these swirls and curls debbie’s art makes me happy.  you can find just about anything at a line of her own, from a dipper and a lynx, to a frog, an otter and even an ibex.  and, she’s the only gal i’ve come across who can make a skunk and a mouse look perfect for my house. ;)

diy business cards

Posted by bonnie on Feb 5, 2010 in diy

after seeing this post over at design*sponge, i couldn’t help but run out and make my own business cards!

stamp2

though i absolutely love my moo minis, sometimes it’s hard for me to commit to something so permanent.   i’ve always struggled with ordering so many cards at once- i mean, what if i open a new shop, start something new, or change the name of something?

stamp

by grabbing this stamp set at my local office supply store, i can now make my own stamp, and change it up any ol’ time!  all you need after you get the stamp set is a few blank business cards  (one isle over from the stamps!) and your all set to go.  you could easily make your own cards too by stamping your ‘card’ on scrap paper and especially your outgoing envelopes.  think about all the people who handle your mail before it reaches it’s destination- this is a great (free!) way to advertise.

voila!  easily editable, diy, hand crafted business cards!

i hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and i look forward to see you back here on monday!
