added to my wishlist

good morning from colorado springs! wow- is it beautiful here! the weather is perfect (as i’ve heard it usually is) and the scenery is simply to die for. we arrived without a hitch, though we flew in on two small planes. i don’t love flying as it is, so i’m hoping for bigger planes on the return flight! our hotel is just across from the city’s historical downtown, so we’re a quick walk to cute shops and yummy restaurants. hopefully i’ll have pics to share soon!

Crafting a Meaningful Home

most recently added to my wish list is meg mateo ilasco’s latest book, crafting a meaningful home. featuring 27 projects that tell personal stories and celebrate heritage, the projects are all budget conscience and beginner friendly. as i am always trying to make my home a handmade haven, i can’t wait to get my hands on this book!

three potato four

well this is it. my dream store.  i keep a list of vintage finds that i’m on the scout out for, and i think three potato four just helped me mark all of them off the list.  from vintage letterpress letters to nautical preservers, you name it and they have it!  owned by janet morales and husband stu eli, this biz is run by a family full of collectors.  they’ve been busy working on a storefront to open soon in philadelphia, and i may just need to book a trip!

i bet you can tell why i like these, huh?  what a beautiful job she does at depicting a slower, simpler way of life. the muted colors, comfortable settings and vintage touches take me to an easier time where all that matters is family and good food.  visit twig hutchinson to flip through the pages of her portfolio and see more of her interior styling first hand.

have a lovely, relaxing weekend- i’ll see you back here on monday!
