diy jewelry holder

June 14, 2011

happy friday dear friends! did you have a good week? i sure did! i even started a little part-time job to help bring home the (veggie) bacon! i’m really excited about it. :) this weekend will be sunny and nice here so i plan to catch up on some reading and relaxing. how about you? i also found a sweet diy that i may embark upon…

diy jewelry holder

during my morning blogosphere browsing, i ran across this adorable diy jewelry holder from evie s.- and it only takes a little bit of wool yarn to make! isn’t it pretty? i always need a little bit of extra storage for my earrings and pins (you could even clasp necklaces around it), and this seems to fit the bill just perfectly.

diy jewelry holder

head on over to evie s. for the full how to, and make sure to share your results with us if you decide to make it!

happy weekend! xox, bonnie

homeground the greenhouse collection

has your breath been taken away yet? when brittany broas of homeground sent me her new greenhouse collection, i was speechless. not only is it one of the most unique and beautiful jewelry collections i’ve seen, but the photography and vision behind the pieces are so stunning, don’t you think? i feel like i’m walking right in the greenhouse with her, with a delicate necklace or bracelet just dripping from around my neck and wrist. inspired by her favorite local greenhouse, i think these pieces are just as lovely and colorful as the plants that surround them.

make sure to visit brittany’s beautiful blog and website to shop around, then head over to her facebook page to see more of her beautiful work!

nancy nelson jewelry

no wonder i love nancy nelson’s jewelry, she lives and gathers inspiration from my sweet-home-of-homes- the appalachian mountains! i find her jewelry to be natural-rustic and feminine-chic all at the same time.  the woodland themes and dainty details evoke an emotion and tell a story for the wearer- and for me i think it would be a feeling of oneness with nature.  starting out as a display coordinator for the mother-of-all creative retail stores, anthropologie, nancy has evolved into a creative business owner and mom with an eye for design.

stuart and wright jewelry

oh how sweet and simple! stuart & wright’s jewelry (found via one of my favorite reads, creature comforts) is elegant and sophisticated in a simple kind of way. handmade from los angeles to nyc, i really appreciate the crafted look they have. since i fell in love with pear shaped diamonds the day i saw katherine heigl’s engagement ring, you know my favorite is this sideways-set ring!

jean jean vintage

emily duffelmeyer- better well known as duff, owns one of my favorite vintage shops, jean jean vintage. she collects and thrifts, then meticulously studies and cleans each of these found pieces, all of which make me nostalgic to a time in which i never lived. with a mission of helping find these past loved pieces a new home, i bet we could all find something that makes us feel pretty in her shop.
