asheville

hello lovelies!  well many of you know (and some of you saw) that i had the pleasure of attending the big crafty in asheville yesterday!  i arrived just in time for a passing rain shower, but if you’re familiar with asheville, you know that a little rain doesn’t stop anyone from having a good time.

to start the day off right, i visited katie daisy’s booth (she’s my favorite, remember?) and was so excited to meet her!  as if you couldn’t tell through her work, she’s an absolute doll in person and it was so fun to talk with her.

i finally decided on a few pieces to get (aren’t you proud?) and can’t wait to get them framed- i’ll have to find the perfect place with them!

figs and ginger

i was also able to get this darling ring from figs and ginger, isn’t it pretty?  it started out a bit too small and but the lovely studio manager, caitie, was able to hammer it out for me.   within seconds she had it fitting perfectly!

annie's art

i loved this colorful booth by ann, and i quickly fell head over hills for this beautiful cow painting!  make sure check back in, as she plans to add more to her etsy shop soon.

arts alive

i bought some hanging air plants from kambra about a month ago and was so happy to meet her in person.  her wire work is beautiful and makes for such an interesting take on plants, i get compliments on mine all the time!

mud stuffing

this booth by mudstuffing quickly caught my eye, as i just love the way they enhance their ceramics!

element clay studio

maybe you’ve seen element clay studio’s work around etsy?  her abstract ceramics are breathtaking and are all one of kinds.

lemons with a pea

another fun find was robin plemmon’s booth, lemon with a pea. she’s such a doll and her work had me rolling from one silly saying to the next!

fernworks

fernworks

finally, this booth by fernworks was unique and whimsical, from her jewelry to the setup.  she takes everyday pieces and turns them into resin artwork and jewelry, each unique and splendid!

katie daisy

today i am so very excited to share with you my all time favorite artist, katie daisy.  did i just say that?  yes. she’s my favorite- ever.  talk about being filled with joy, this watercolor illustration makes me a happier person just by looking at it, doesn’t it you?

the wheatfield by katie daisy

with feel good sayings, cheerful colors and meaningful quotes, katie’s work goes straight to the heart.  her obvious inspirations of gardening, taking care of the earth and living a simpler life speak straight to me.  from vegetables to yoga and hiking to stargazing, she has artwork to fit just about each of my passions and i’ve never found an artist whose work has more personal meaning to it than the wheatfield’s.  you can browse more of her illustrations, typography and pattern work on her website, where she’ll inspire you to live each day a little deeper.

katie daisy

i’ve been debating (literally) for months over which piece i want to share in my home.  what are your favorites?
