i picked up four pumpkins at our farmers market this past weekend, and it always amazes me how setting them on the porch gets me in the mood for fall.  it’s like chilly mornings, big boots and all kinds of soups are now suddenly appropriate – cuz i’ve got pumpkins on the porch!  we’re planning to carve them sometime in the next week (another fall tradition) and will be enjoying them till thanksgiving, i’m sure.  with the beautiful yellow leaves falling and apple cider at every coffee shop, i’ve fallen for fall (i’m such a sucker).

fall is in the air.. can you feel it? whether we want it to or not, it’s coming, and isphotography’s work makes me all the more ready for it.  crisp mornings and sweater evenings…  colorful leaves falling in the wind, pumpkins, apples and hot cider are just around the corner. it looks beautiful from irene suchocki’s camera lense, and it makes me eager for knitted scarves and pretty boots.

even though it’s still summer, every time september rolls around i start thinking about fall.  maybe it’s the beginning of crisp mornings or the wearing of light sweaters at night.  or maybe it’s the planting for fall harvests.  either way i all the sudden crave leafy decor and autumn colors of green, orange, yellow and red.  here are some handmade finds that get my in the spirit of september!
