wearable planters

since i come from a family of avid bicyclists (minus myself), this cutie pie bike planter was a insta-love! plus i love succulents, mostly because i can’t kill them (see here, here and here!). even if you don’t have a bike, i’m thinking the sturdy elastic nylon cord would allow you to attach it just about anywhere that it will fit around. just think of all the possibilities to show off your love for plants! sidenote: i’m also obsessing over these planter earrings.

repotting plants

hi friends! this week, i’ve been busy re-potting some of my plants. getting some green going on in our new place was just about first on the list of importance. some of these are old while others are newly found, and almost all of the planters have been found or thrifted for.

a little bit of a green house is what i ended up with! it’s one of my favorite places in the house. most of the new plants i’ve accumulated are succulents. i love them, becuase they come in so many varieties and are so easy to care for. just water twice a month and you should be good to go- now that’s my kind of plant! here are some succulent inspired planters that i’ve enjoyed finding for you:

i feel as though this post hardly needs any words, as the photos speak for themselves! this most perfectly woodsy, feminine and detailed jewelry comes to you from woodland belle. the artist, mai mckemy, lives in asheville, nc (our home grounds) and if you knew anything about the city, you wouldn’t be surprised. it’s filled with the most eco-aware, mindful people that honor both the earth and the arts. i love the intricate detail in all of her work, the moss on these twig hair pins and the tiny succulents on this garden necklace.

visit woodland belle’s site to learn more, and shop the collection either on etsy or big cartel.

i immediately started thinking about how i could implement this idea somehow.  any thoughts? my favorites are the ones made with different succulents, though this last one made with airplants is funky stunning as well!
