crochet mason jars

1: ekoti via nib | 2: dottie angel | 3: spindle shuttle needle via sweet peach | 4: vase from eka | 5: pattern from yvestown blog

there’s just something so sweet and romantic about these crocheted covered mason jars. i love how the delicate soft yarn wraps around the glass, as if to give it extra protection from breaking. i would particularly love to have some with hangers, so i could plant them with succulents and hang them in a nearby window!

creative mending

creative mending

for all your patchy problems, try creative mending! i’m pretty sure i would just rip a whole in my favorite pair of jeans just to sport one of these pretties. made with a cereal box, blunt needle and yarn, these would make great projects for waiting in offices, long car rides or airplane trips. my imagination is taking me to coasters and hot pads, too!

visit karen barbe’s blog for the full step by step tutorial, and make sure to check out her shop and other tutorials while you’re at it!

a pouf pattern

puff daddy diy

attention, knitters! will you make me one of these? ;)

we’ve all seen one fabulous puffy pouf after another, but their beauty and functionality seem to always be accompanied by a hefty price tag. well, if you know how to knit, this pouf pattern from pickles will have you making knitted stools in no time. while you’re there, make sure to check out their lovely yarn and buttons, too!

fiber farm

some of you may know, i have a sweet spot for farms. when i found juniper moon fiber farm (via gifted magazine) i was immediately drawn in- this is the farm of farms! not only do they have the most adorable animals (am i right?), but they offer so many wonderful opportunities!

you can join their yarn csa, shop their online store, browse all of their adorable knitting patterns, watch their lamb cam (come on, people- so cute!), even vacation there with a good ol’ farm stay. if you’re a fiber lover (and even if you’re not) i think you’ll enjoy perusing the pages of juniper moon farm, you might like it so much that you want to plan a visit!
